With 164,517 units sold domestically in FY24, the Dzire remains India’s highest-selling sedan, competing primarily with the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.

Exterior and Interior Enhancements

The 2024 Dzire is expected to sport substantial exterior and interior upgrades. On the outside, the refreshed model will feature a redesigned grille framed by LED headlamps, along with newly styled LED taillamps at the rear and a set of updated alloy wheels. Some reports suggest that the car will come equipped with an electric sunroof, marking a first for this model.

Inside, the new Dzire promises advanced features, including a revamped touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger. There is also speculation that the vehicle will incorporate a 360-degree camera setup for enhanced safety and convenience.

Engine and Transmission Options

Currently, the Dzire is powered by the popular 1.2-liter K-Series Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine, delivering 89.7 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual (MT) and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), along with a CNG variant producing 77.4 PS and 98.5 Nm.

For the 2024 model, Maruti Suzuki may retain this engine or opt for the new 1.2-liter Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine from the Swift 2024, which produces 82 PS and 113 Nm of torque, with similar transmission options.

Expected Price Range

The outgoing Dzire model is priced between Rs six lakh fifty-six thousand and Rs nine lakh thirty-nine thousand (ex-showroom). The new Dzire 2024 is anticipated to carry a slightly higher price tag, considering its added features and updates.
