Maruti Suzuki: To fix possible defects in one of the child parts of the shoulder height adjuster assembly of front-row seat belts, the company made the announcement.
Maruti Suzuki: Domestic automaker Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday recalled as many as 9,125 units of cars from the Indian market manufactured between November 2 and November 28. According to the company, there is a possible defect in a part of the front-row seat belts. These affected units include the models Ciaz, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6 and Grand Vitara.
To fix possible defects in one of the child parts of the shoulder height adjuster assembly of front-row seat belts, the company made the announcement.
"It is suspected that there is a possible defect in one of the child parts of shoulder height adjuster assembly of front row seat belts, which in a rare case, may lead to seat belt disassembly," Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday.
The company said it has decided to recall the suspected vehicles for inspection and replacement of the faulty part at free of cost. Owners of the affected vehicle will receive official communication from Maruti Suzuki’s authorized workshops for immediate attention.
"Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from the company's authorised workshops for immediate attention," it said.

At 2:30 PM, Maruti Suzuki India was trading at Rs 8,702 apiece on NSE, down by 0.97 per cent from its previous closing of Rs 8,792.05. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs 8,800 and Rs 8,694.95, respectively.
