Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra's all-new Mahindra XUV300, which has already fascinated people with its stunning features and is set to be launched in the first week of February 2019, has officially commenced bookings for the compact SUV. The stylish new Compact SUV model would begin at Mahindra dealerships across India from today, said a company statement, adding that the XUV300 will come in the price range of Rs 8-12 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Flaunting exciting and comprehensive package, the Mahindra SUV will be available with both petrol and diesel options with best-in-class torque of 300 Nm for Diesel and 200 Nm for Petrol engines, offering best-in-class safety with 7 Airbags. The car will also sport first-in-class hi-tech features like Dual-Zone Fully Automatic Climate Control and Front Parking Sensors, the company statement said.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, M&M Ltd, said, "The XUV300 promises not just the most fun-to-drive performance in the segment, but also first-in-class hi-tech features & best-in-class safety. Its 7 airbags are the highest number offered on any 5-seater, not just in the Compact SUV segment, but also in the mid-size sedan segment."

Talking about features of the SUV, Nakra said, "Segment-first features such as Dual-zone Fully Automatic Climate Control and Front Parking Sensors are thoughtful new features keeping consumer expectations in mind. We are certain that the XUV300 will help us redefine the growing Compact SUV segment in India.”

The statement said that XUV300 will offer an exciting and unbeatable combination of head-turning and cheetah-inspired design, ‘fun-to-drive’ performance, first-in-class hi-tech features, best-in-class safety and class-defining interiors. 

If we look at the safety features of XUV300, the new compact SUV will be the first to offer 7 airbags, including a knee airbag for the driver, ensuring complete safety for all the occupants. The XUV300 will also offer disc brakes on all 4 wheels as standard on all variants. 

It will also offer segment-first features like Dual-zone Fully Automatic Climate Control and Front Parking Sensors. The interiors will offer the best-in-class width and the longest wheelbase creating ample space inside its cabin to comfortably seat 5 adults. The premium leatherette seats, stylish dual-tone dashboard and an electric sunroof will make the in-cabin experience exciting and comfortable, the statement claims.

Available in three variants of W4, W6 and W8, the other XUV300 features will include ABS, Disc Brakes on all four wheels, 6 Speed Transmission, LED tail lamps, and all 4 power windows in all the variants. 

Meanwhile, the XUV300 is also stated to come with an option pack variant – W8 (O) - which would have additional technology and safety features.
