Mahindra last mile mobility launches electric 4W SCV 'ZEO,' starting at Rs 7.52 lakh

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has launched the Mahindra ZEO. 'ZEO' stands for "Zero Emission Option," reflecting its eco-friendly design. Priced from Rs 7.52 Lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), the ZEO is tailored to meet urban logistics demands and help customers maximize savings, offering up to Rs 7 Lakh in savings over seven years compared to diesel SCVs.

Performance & Efficiency Built on a 300+ V architecture, the Mahindra ZEO delivers superior energy efficiency, longer range, and faster charging. It features a 30 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor producing 114 Nm of torque and a 21.3 kWh liquid-cooled battery for powerful performance. The ZEO’s top speed of 60 km/h ensures faster trips, while its 765 kg payload capacity and 2250 mm cargo box make it versatile for various business needs.

Range & Charging With a real-world driving range of 160 km, enhanced by a regenerative braking system, the ZEO offers two driving modes—Eco and Power—to optimize range and minimize downtime. The DC fast charging system provides a 100 km range in just 60 minutes. An onboard 3.3 kW charger is standard, with other configurations available.

Convenience Features The ZEO boasts a 32% gradeability, the highest in its segment, allowing easy navigation on steep inclines. Its smart gear shifter offers automatic transmission convenience, and a Creep Function reduces driver fatigue in traffic. With a 4.3 m turning radius, the ZEO excels in maneuvering tight spaces. Additional features include a walk-through cabin, type-C USB charging, lockable glovebox, and a fully digital instrument console.

Smart Technology Equipped with Mahindra’s advanced NEMO telematics, the ZEO offers real-time data for fleet managers via the NEMO Fleet Management System, and drivers can access charging hubs, trip planning, and service locations through the NEMO Driver app.

Warranty & Service The Mahindra ZEO comes with a 7-year/1.5 Lakh km battery warranty. Under the Mahindra Safar service package, customers can choose between two plans offering roadside assistance, annual maintenance, and more.

Safety The ZEO prioritizes safety with features like AI-enabled Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Lane Departure Warning, and Pedestrian Collision Alerts. Both the battery and motor are IP67-rated for protection against harsh conditions. Hill Hold Assist, a 2500 mm wheelbase, and 180 mm ground clearance add to its stability. A semi-forward cabin design and factory-fitted delivery van box ensure cargo protection.

MLMML also offers the UDAY Program, which provides a Rs 10 Lakh accidental insurance cover for drivers for the first three years, reinforcing Mahindra’s customer-first approach.
