Mahindra XUV 400: Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the electric SUV XUV400 in India on Monday, January 16. The introductory price of the EV begins from Rs 15.99 lakh. Along with that, the company has said that it aims to deliver 20,000 units of the newly-launched EV in the first year of hitting the market.

"Get electrified with The All-New XUV400. Starting at ₹15.99 lakhs. Bookings open on 26th January 2023 (sic)" Mahindra XUV 400 tweeted. However, the introductory prices are applicable only for the first 5,000 bookings of each of the variants, the company said.

Mahindra XUV 400: Booking, Delivery Date
Bookings for Mahindra XUV 400 will begin from January 26, 2023.
The deliveries for 'EL' variant will begin in March 2023 whereas for the 'EC' variant delivery will begin during Diwali festive season, the company said.

Mahindra XUV 400: Variants
The SUV has been launched in two variants - XUV 400 EC and XUV 400 EL - across 34 cities in phase I.
Mahindra XUV 400: EC variant
The EC variant comes with a 34.5 kWh battery with a range of 375 km. It will be available with two charger options -- 3.3 kW priced at Rs 15.99 lakh and 7.2 kW at Rs 16.49 lakh.
Mahindra XUV 400: EL variant
The EL trim has a 39.4 kWh battery with a range of 456 km with 7.2 kW charger and is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh.
Mahindra XUV 400: Delivery Details
M&M has said that it "aims to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 within a year of its launch, considering the challenges of the structural gap between the demand and supply of automotive-grade semiconductors and the availability of battery packs".

The newly-launched SUV is equipped with features like electric sunroof, 17.78 cm touchscreen, 16" diamond-cut alloy wheels, new LED tail lamps, upto 6 airbags, rear-view camera, disc brakes all round, ISOFIX seats and more. It is also equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the BlueSense Plus App offers 60-plus mobile app-based connected features.
