India's automobile exports saw a significant 15.5 percent growth in the April-June quarter of the current financial year compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
The total number of vehicles exported reached 11,92,577 units, up from 10,32,449 units in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Passenger vehicle exports experienced a 19 percent rise, totaling 1,80,483 units, compared to 1,52,156 units last year. Maruti Suzuki India led the market with 69,962 units exported, up from 62,857 units in the same period last year. Hyundai Motor India followed with 42,600 units, an increase from 35,100 units in the previous year.

Commercial vehicle exports rose by 8 percent, reaching 15,741 units, up from 14,625 units last year. However, three-wheeler exports declined by 3 percent, with 71,281 units exported compared to 73,360 units in the same period last year.
