This was surely a special moment for Renault India. The automaker bagged a big deal in which it managed to sell as many as 400 cars in one go. This was a Diwali gift being given to employees of Surat based diamond merchant Savji Dholakia. The diamond trader gifted as many as 600 cars to his employees out of which 400 were Renault  cars.

Savji Dholakia has been giving spectacular Diwali gifts to his staff for the last four years. This year, four employees, including a physically challenged female staffer had reached New Delhi to get the keys of their new cars from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister later addressed the employees of Shri Hari Krishna Exports through video conferencing. The event was organised at the firm's headquarters in Varachhna.
 
Dholakia's company has an overall strength of 5,500 employees, of which around 4,000 have already received expensive gifts on the occasion of Diwali so far. The company makes an annual turnover of Rs 6,000 crore.
 
According to the Renault statement, eminent diamond merchant Savji Dholakia, Founder and Chairman, Hare Krishna Exporters gifted 400 Renault KWIDs out of the 600 vehicles given to employees as part of the festive season celebrations and bonus for meeting the company’s targets. 
 
Renault KWID, manufactured the cars with a 98% localization and is an epitome of Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ campaign, said a statement from the carmaker. It added that it offers several first-in-segment features in its small cars whose design has been inspired by its very popular SUV. The car has a 7-inch touchscreen Media NAV system, Rear Camera, digital Instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator, radio speed dependent volume control and pro-sense seat belt pretensioners with load limiters.
 
Renault KWID is said to be powered by 0.8 litre and 1.0 litre SCe (Smart Control Efficiency) engines, and its 2018 range is optimally designed for better performance and best-in-class fuel efficiency.

The length and width of the car is also best in class thus offering a stunning and powerful road presence. The range-topping variants get power steering, 3 and 4 Speed Manual AC, ORVM passenger side, engine immobilizer, single din audio with Bluetooth and telephony, front speakers and a 12V power socket.
