Hyundai VENUE launched - Compact SUV priced at Rs 6.5 lakh! Check mileage, colours, engine, top features, and more
Undoubtedly, the compact SUV segment is the fastest-growing vertical in the domestic auto market, and keeping the same in mind to tap the potential customers, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Tuesday made an official entry in the compact SUV segment by launching VENUE. The prices of Hyundai VENUE suggest that the South Korean automotive giant is leaving no stone unturned to leave a noticeable mark of its foray into the high-selling compact SUV segment. Hyundai VENUE is priced in the range of Rs 6.5-11.1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Dubbed as India's first connected SUV, Hyundai VENUE comes with these engine options and transmission:-
-1.2 l Kappa 5-speed manual
-1.4 l U2 CRDi 6-speed manual
-1.0 l Turbo Kappa 7-speed DCT
-1.0 l Turbo Kappa 6-speed DCT
HYUNDAI VENUE: PRICES
The petrol variants are priced between Rs 6.5-11.1 lakh, while the diesel trims are tagged between Rs 7.75-10.84 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Launching its new model VENUE, Hyundai said, "We have invested USD 100 million on the research and development (R&D) of the model over a period of four years.
"With VENUE, we are targeting the leadership position in the compact SUV segment," the South Korean auto major said while describing that VENUE is equipped with BlueLink technology which comes with 33 artificial intelligence and connected features, of which 10 have been specially designed for the Indian market.
Hyundai VENUE: Mileage of different engine options and transmission
The 1.2-litre petrol variant comes with a fuel efficiency figure of 17.52 km/litre while the 1.4-litre diesel trim would deliver a fuel efficiency of 23.7 km/litre, according to Hyundai.
India is the first market to get the Hyundai VENUE, however, the compact SUV would also be launched in various international markets including the US, Canada and Australia, HMIL said.

-BlueLink also features remote vehicle functions like Remote Engine Start/Stop, Remote Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn Honk & Light and Remote Vehicle Status.
With the global launch taking place here, India is the first country to get the Hyundai VENUE. However, the compact SUV would also be launched in various international markets including the US, Canada and Australia, according to Hyundai.
Hyundai VENUE's competitors?
VENUE would compete with Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra XUV300 as these compact SUVs are priced between Rs 6.48-11.99 lakhs.
Now, time will tell whether Hyundai with the launch of much-anticipated VENUE will achieve the leader position in the compact SUV segment and rule the Indian roads and hearts of CSUV lovers.
