What is iMT
Cars equipped with iMT feature doesn't have clutch pedal. In such cars, there is only two pedals given in the drivers footwell area. Like any other cars, in iMT equipped cars, drivers need to change gears using their hand but for that they need not to put pressure on the clutch because there is not separate clutch set up in iMT version cars.
In iMt gearbox, intension sensor is used. In iMT version cars, intension sensor gives signal to the TCU (Transmission Signal Unit) when the driver is about to chagne gears. After receiving signal from the intension sensor, the TCU transfers this signal to the Hydraulic Actuator to engage and disengage clutch plate.
