Honda Activa yet again emerges as the highest-selling two-wheeler in the Indian market. With nearly 14 lakh units sold in the first six months of the Financial Year 2019-20, Honda Activa has been dominating the segment for a while now. The two-wheeler was launched way back in 2001 and ever since the company has managed to sell over 2.20 crore units of the popular scooter in India so far. Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India has sold 1,393,256 units of Activa in the April-September period of Financial Year 2019-20.

According to the company, it is the market leader with a 56% market share in the scooter segment with a 14% contribution alone from Activa. Activa’s convenience, unisex appeal coupled with product features (increased mileage, style, and technology) has generated these magical figures, according to the company.

Honda also rolled out its Activa 5G limited edition in May this year, at an introductory price of Rs 55,032 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter sports as many as 10 new features like black rims, chrome metal muffler cover, completely blacked-out engine, and royal seat, etc. It is a limited-edition scooter, which is powered by a 109.19 cc, fan-cooled, 4-stroke, SI motor that makes 8 bhp and 9 Nm of peak torque.

Recently, Honda also launched its new Activa 125 BS6 in September 2019 for a starting price of Rs 67,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter is available in three variants in the market with Standard, Alloy, and Deluxe variants.
