Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Special, Street Glide Special launch tomorrow: What we know so far
The Forty-Eight Special is the modified version of its existing offering Forty-Eight while the Street Glide Special, which was launched in 2018, now comes with more powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine.
Harley-Davidson will be unveiling its two new motorcycles - The Forty-Eight Special and the Street Glide Special on Thursday. Sajeev Rajasekharan, MD, Harley-Davidson India, will be present during the launch.
The Forty-Eight Special is the modified version of its existing offering Forty-Eight while the Street Glide Special, which was launched in 2018, now comes with more powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine.
As per reports, Forty-Eight Special will have 'tallboy' handlebar, unique paint schemes, redesigned seat for more comfort and exhaust tips. It will have 1202cc, V-twin motor which produces 96Nm of torque. It has been clubbed with a five-speed gearbox.
Other features of the Forty-Eight Special will be like its standard version and it is also supposed to sport a handlebar-mounted electronic speedometer with odometer, time-of-day clock, dual tripmeter, low fuel warning light, low oil pressure light, engine diagnostics readout, and LED indicator lights among others.
On the other hand, the Street Glide Special has is a bigger 1868cc motor which puts out 163Nm of torque. It comes in five paint options.

The prices of the Forty-Eight Special is likely to start at around Rs 12 lakhs while the Street Glide Special prices may start at Rs 30 lakhs.
