Ford launches iconic muscle car Mustang in India at Rs 65 lakh

Ford India has launched Mustang in India at Rs 65 lakh ex-showroom Delhi and Rs 66.5 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai on Tuesday.

The iconic 'American' muscle car comes with 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8 engine which generates power of 396bhp and 515Nm of torque, according to an International Business Times (IBT) report. The Mustang in India will be available only in one variant, ie the GT Fastback.

The car in India will be available as a completely built unit (CBU). The bookings for the car have already started and delivery for which will take place at the end of the year.

The first generation Mustang was launched in 1964 and the car is currently in its sixth generation, unveiled in December 2013, said the report.
