On the specifications of the car the company said, “The ‘Gen II’ automatic transmission is engineered to deliver improved overall performance resulting in less drag on the clutches. This Gen II 8-speed paddle shift transmission will also be offered in the Diesel variants of the Grand Cherokee.”

The Grand Cherokee’s Limited and Summit variants will get enhanced ‘billet-like’ plating on the grille slots while the SRT gets upper and lower cooling intakes on the front fascia, the company said.

“New alloys – 18-inch, high gloss silver painted aluminum will be standard on the Grand Cherokee Limited; 20-inch, polished aluminum with Technical Grey painted pockets standard on the Summit; 20-inch, full polished with satin clear coat, standard on the SRT and 20-inch Matte Black split spoke also available on the SRT,” FCA added.

The jeep will also have Electric Power Steering (EPS) replacing the electro-hydraulic power steering system. And will come with 'ParkSense’ – a rear park assist system now includes a Start / Stop function that applies the vehicle’s brakes.

New prices for FCA’s luxury cars were also announced today.

“The company also announced upgrades in the entire range of luxury SUVs along with new prices, thereby offering more value to Indian customers,” FCA said.
