The much-anticipated electric lineup includes models from Audi, BMW, BYD, Citroen, Hyundai, Lotus, Mahindra, Maruti, and Mercedes, each bringing its unique features and innovations to the table.
Audi Q6 e-tron

Audi is set to introduce Q6 e-tron, an all-new electric SUV, based on Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The vehicle boasts the latest battery and charging technology, utilising an 800V architecture with an impressive range of approximately 600km. Notable features include Audi's advanced infotainment tech, digital matrix LED headlights, and second-generation digital OLED technology. Positioned below Q8 e-tron, Q6 e-tron is expected to offer a smaller and more affordable electric SUV option.
BMW i5
- Price: Rs 90 lakh-1 crore
- Launch: Late 2024
- Battery: 81.2kWh
The electric version of the new 5 Series, BMW i5, is set to hit the market with two iterations: M60 xDrive and eDrive40. With an 81.2kWh battery pack, M60 offers a sportier twin-motor all-wheel-drive experience, while eDrive40 features single-motor driving rear wheels. Both variants showcase impressive performance and a range of up to 582km, along with the latest iDrive 8.5 system and a fully vegan interior option.
BYD Seal

BYD enters the Indian market with Seal, a sporty four-door electric sedan featuring a low-slung aerodynamic design. Seal utilises BYD's e-Platform 3.0, integrating powertrain components into a single unit for enhanced efficiency. With a 0-100kph acceleration time of 3.8 seconds and a claimed range of 700km on a single charge, BYD Seal promises a dynamic and efficient electric driving experience.
Citroen eC3 Aircross

Citroen's next electric offering, eC3 Aircross, is expected to be an electric derivative of C3 Aircross. Based on a common modular platform supporting both ICE and electric applications, eC3 Aircross is likely to feature a larger battery and motor to accommodate its size and weight, offering a five- or seven-seater configuration.
Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai is set to introduce an electric iteration of Creta, based on the internal combustion engine platform with modifications for electric propulsion. Marketed as the 'world's first electric hyper SUV,' the Lotus Eletre combines lightweight materials such as carbon fibre and aluminium with advanced aerodynamics. Featuring a 109kWh battery and an 800V system, Eletre offers impressive power outputs, with the 'R' version claiming a 0-100kph acceleration time of under 3 seconds.
Mahindra XUV.e8

Mahindra's electric version of XUV700, XUV.e8, is set to leverage the INGLO EV platform. With an 80kWh battery and a potential twin-motor setup for all-wheel drive, XUV.e8 promises to elevate the electric SUV experience with a digital instrument cluster, infotainment, and a new screen for passengers.
Maruti Suzuki eVX

In collaboration with Toyota, Maruti's first electric SUV, eVX, is nearing its final stages of development. Expected to rival Hyundai Creta EV, eVX offers two battery options with ranges of around 400km and 500km. Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV

Ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV aims to set new standards with its three-pointed star emblem, chrome accents, and opulent interior. In the '680' guise, it delivers a powerful 658hp and 950Nm torque, with a range of up to 600km, taking just 4.4 seconds to reach from 0 to 100kph, and a top speed of 210kph.
Mercedes EQG

The electric counterpart of the rugged G-Class SUV, Mercedes EQG, maintains the iconic boxy styling with aerodynamic enhancements. Built on a ladder-frame chassis, EQG features four motors for all-wheel drive and a unique G-Turn function, allowing for on-the-spot 360-degree turns. Specifics about the battery are yet to be disclosed.
