Maruti Suzuki, a car manufacturer in India, has received a setback. The new safety rating for the company's popular and best-selling car, the Swift, has been revealed. The Maruti Swift has received a 3-star rating from Euro NCAP, which is not considered good in terms of safety.

3-Star Rating in Euro NCAP

In the Euro NCAP tests, the Swift scored 67 per cent with 26.9 points in adult occupant protection. For child occupant protection, it scored 65 per cent with 32.1 points. In safety assists, it received 11.3 points.

Swift Was Launched in May

Maruti Suzuki launched the all-new 4th generation Swift in May, equipping it with six airbags as standard. Additional safety features include hill hold assist and a three-point seat belt. The starting price of the new Swift is Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This car was also unveiled at the Tokyo Expo. The Maruti Swift has consistently been among the top five selling cars for many years.

Maruti Swift 2024: Crash Test Results in Japan

The company had the Swift crash tested in Japan, where it received a 4-star safety rating. The new Swift also features a premium interior with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and wireless charging.
