As it has been said earlier that three decks will be allowed on big trucks or trailers for carrying the two wheelers. The third deck should not be above the driver's cabin, as reported by Zee Business reporter Ambarish Pandey.
This new decision by the government will also increase the carrying capacity of the vehicles. It is expected that the transportation of two wheelers will be increased by 40 to 50 per cent with these new rules.
In this context, it must be remembered that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways proposed these rules in December last year, that is, 2021. It stated that the ministry will invite comments from the stakeholders within 30 days.
However, no objections and suggestions were received. The ministry stated this in the gazette while notifying the new guidelines.
