BMW has launched the 2 Series Shadow Edition in India, priced at Rs 46.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This exclusive variant, based on the 220i M Sport trim, introduces a host of blacked-out exterior enhancements and subtle interior updates.

The Shadow Edition boasts a striking blacked-out kidney grille, adaptive LED headlamps with darkened inlays, and M Lights Shadow Line specification. Additionally, it features an all-black rear spoiler and floating hub-caps with levelling function. Inside, the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition offers an exclusive ‘Illuminated Berlin’ interior trim and a carbon gear selector, complemented by ambient lighting with six dimmable designs.

Available in Alpine White and the newly introduced Skyscraper Grey, this launch closely follows the recent introduction of a similar special edition for the X3.

Powertrain and Pricing

The 2 Series Shadow Edition houses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 179hp and 280Nm of torque. Power is channeled to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, propelling the sedan from 0-100kph in just 7.1 seconds. While the standard 2 Series offers a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 190hp and 400Nm paired with an 8-speed auto gearbox.

Priced at Rs 3 lakh higher than the 220i M Sport variant it's based on, and Rs 1 lakh more than the 220i M Sport Pro, the 2 Series Shadow Edition offers a unique blend of style and performance starting at Rs 46.90 lakh.
