Auto Sales June 2024: The South Korean car manufacturer Kia India reported a 9.8 per cent increase in wholesale sales, reaching 21,300 units in June. Compared to the same month last year, the company sold 1909 units more this year. In June 2023, the company sold 19,391 vehicles. The automobile manufacturer has sold 126,137 vehicles in the first half of 2024, a 6 per cent increase over the same period last year.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor achieved its best-ever monthly sales in June, with 27,474 units sold. This represents a 40 per cent increase from 19,608 units in June 2023. The company's domestic wholesale sales were 25,752 units, with exports at 1,722 units.

JSW MG Motor Sales

JSW MG Motor India experienced a 9 per cent year-on-year decline in retail sales, with 4,644 units sold in June compared to 5,125 units in June 2023. Despite this, the company reported its highest monthly sales ever for the flagship SUV-ZS EV in June 2024, selling 1,861 units of new energy vehicles (NEV), which contributed more than 40 per cent to total sales.

M&M Sales Also Increased

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) saw an 11 per cent year-on-year growth in wholesale sales, reaching 69,397 units in June. The company's retail sales in June 2023 were 62,429 units. M&M's domestic market passenger vehicle sales increased by 23 per cent to 40,022 units last month, up from 32,588 units in June last year. Total exports stood at 2,597 units, a 4 per cent increase from 2,505 units in June 2023.
