At the heart of the Q6 e-Tron Performance lies a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery (94.9 kWh net), driving a single motor positioned on the rear axle. This configuration offers an impressive range of 641 kilometers on a single charge, based on WLTP standards, surpassing its all-wheel drive counterparts by 16 kilometers. This substantial increase in range caters to drivers craving longer journeys with fewer interruptions for charging.

Performance

Powered by a single electric motor generating 240 kW (322 bhp), the rear-wheel drive Q6 e-Tron Performance delivers notable performance. Although its output falls short of the Q6 e-Tron Quattro's 382 bhp and the SQ6's 510 bhp, it still accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a respectable 6.6 seconds. Audi further asserts that with a suitable fast charger, an additional 260 kilometers of range can be attained in a mere 10 minutes.

Design

Retaining the visual and functional essence of its counterparts, the Q6 e-Tron Performance showcases a sophisticated design. Inside, a refined dashboard hosts a triple screen layout, comprising a 14.5-inch central curved touchscreen infotainment display, an 11.9-inch driver's instrumentation screen, and a 10.9-inch infotainment unit for the front passenger.

Technology and features

Equipped with advanced technological amenities, the Q6 e-Tron Performance offers an optional augmented reality heads-up display, connected car technology, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. These features ensure the vehicle remains abreast of the latest software and technological advancements.

Availability and launch details

While deliveries for the all-wheel drive variants are slated to commence in August this year, the global launch of the Q6 e-Tron is scheduled for later this year, with an anticipated India launch next year. However, the specific launch date for the rear-wheel drive Q6 e-Tron Performance in India is yet to be confirmed.
