The updated Gurkha lineup now offers both three- and five-door variants, sharing a strong 2.6-liter diesel engine sourced from Mercedes. This engine upgrade delivers a substantial power boost, with output reaching 140hp, a significant increase from the previous 91hp. A 5-speed manual gearbox remains the sole transmission option, with no automatic variant available. Notably, all models feature standard four-wheel drive, controllable via a switch conveniently placed on the centre console.

In terms of amenities, the Gurkha offers  a 9-inch infotainment display, complemented by a full digital instrument cluster and various creature comforts. However, compared to other SUVs in its segment, such as the Thar, it falls short on certain features.
