Toyota is all set to unveil the all new Corolla on November 16. The company has started giving glimpses of the new 2020 Corolla by dropping teasers. The sedan has been largely inspired 2019 hatchback’s aggressive design.
The new Corolla reportedly comes with the same headlights, LED daytime running lights and large grille seen on the hatchback that of the older version. However, the car has a different front bumper and the Toyota badge moves up onto the bonnet.
Like the hatchback, the all-new Corolla will be based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, which is said to be more rigid and have a lower centre of gravity than its predecessor, according to autocarindia.com report.
The interiors of the new Corolla is expected to come with more space compared to its predecessor. The new sedan is also likely to sport Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 – a suite of safety features that includes autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, cruise control, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist, according to cardekho.com.
The car will also sport Toyota’s data communication module that offers 24x7 connectivity services focused on safety, security, comfort and convenience based on real-time driving data. It is expected that the car will also debut in plug-in hybrid form along with conventional petrol and diesel variants following soon after.
The new Corolla is expected to be launched in India after it made its way in North America and China.
