Auto Expo 2023 India LIVE: New Cars, Dates, Venue, Timing, Tickets, Live Streaming: India's flagship motor show Auto Expo 2023 kicked off on January 11 (Wednesday) at Greater Noida with the global unveiling of Suzuki Motor Corporation's concept electric SUV 'eVX' which is slated to hit the market by 2025. The likes of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Kia India, Toyota Kirloskar and MG Motor India will lead the traditional automakers at the show that will witness five global launches, and launching and unveiling of 75 products. This edition of the expo kicks off with press days on January 11-12 followed by general public days from January 13-18.

The products include a battery electric vehicle, fuel cell electric vehicle, hydrogen internal combustion engine vehicle, LNG, inter-city CNG bus, and a mini-passenger bus, the company said.

India has the potential to become the number one automotive market in the world and small cars have an important role to play in it, Suzuki Motor Corporation Representative Director and President Toshihiro Suzuki said on Wednesday. In an interaction with reporters on the sidelines of Auto Expo 2023 here, he also said electric vehicles alone will not be the solution to India's quest for carbon neutrality and the company will explore other technologies such as flex fuels, hybrids and CNG. Besides, Suzuki said while safety issues have become important for automobiles, there is a need to strictly follow the basic traffic rules and also developing adequate infrastructure to ensure road safety.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been launched in India by Shah Rukh Khan with a price of Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) at the Auto Expo 2023. The electric vehicle was unveiled by the end of last year, and the bookings for the EV began with an amount of Rs 1 lakh.
