Hari Kiran informs that instrument clusters on electric two-wheelers are undergoing a radical change and becoming more feature-rich and intelligent. "Apart from the basic speedometer and odometer, riders can now access additional information such as gear shift indicators, fuel efficiency metrics, and real-time mileage. Shifting to a comprehensive screen improves riders' knowledge about the vehicles’ state of operation thereby improving their rides," he enlightens.
 

Smart Helmet Technology

Beyond the automobile itself, the riding experience is in addition augmented by using the smart helmet technology. The Co-Founder and COO of eBikeGo opines, "Helmets with integrated communication systems, heads-up displays, and rearview cameras make a contribution to more advantageous protection and additionally to a greater connected and informed driving enjoyment."

Hari Kiran says the inclusion of sophisticated smartphone connectivity is one of the salient highlights in the development of electric two-wheelers. The heart of electric vehicles lies in their battery technology, and the industry has seen a significant shift towards lithium-ion batteries. These batteries, which accounted for about 80 percent of the market share in 2022, offer high power and efficiency in any size. "Advances in battery technology have boosted electric two-wheelers, making them affordable, appealing for passengers and resolving the range issue. The current energy density of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries is already between 180 and 250 Wh/kg, respectively, which is capable of giving 80 to 120 kms per charge," he avers.
 

Cruise Control

For individuals who wish to have a pleasant highway experience, mid-sized electric motorcycles now frequently come equipped with the advanced  mobility features. Kiran says that not only do these changes make it user friendly, but they also exhibit the flexibility and comfort that two-wheeled electric vehicles add to compete with their traditional counterparts and emerge as a User preference in the market.
