The companies aim to build a network of public EV charging hubs across Delhi by installing and maintaining EV chargers on Municipal Corporation of Delhi designated sites.

Terra Charge has said that through this collaboration it aims to deliver safe and reliable EV charging solutions to support the USD 913 million Indian EV charging infrastructure market and help BYPL advance clean transportation solutions.

The collaboration will also strengthen Delhi Government’s vision to install EV charging stations every 5 km along Outer Ring Road.

Through this collaboration, advanced EV charging solutions will be deployed in BYPL service areas where EV penetration is high, but a lack of advanced EV charging infrastructure is hampering adoption.

Akhiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Charge, commented on the new partnership, saying, “Our partnership with BYPL aligns with our global sustainability goals and embodies our ultimate ‘mission to zero’ vision, which we aim to achieve by promoting sustainable mobility powered by clean energy. We believe the installation of our Japanese technology-backed chargers will accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India, helping the public decrease their carbon footprint and contribute to a greener environment."
