The ever-changing lifestyle and fast-moving world have led to many health-related issues.
The ever-changing lifestyle and fast-moving world have led to many health-related issues. This has further fastened the aging process and slowed down bodily functions like digestion and cognitive problems like decision making and memory. To help humankind with that, science came up with 'nutraceutical.' The nutraceutical industry is a big hit these days because of the higher demand for supplements to meet the daily nutritional requirements of the human race.
This sector helps prevent chronic diseases, but it also helps take better care of skin and hair, support bodily functions like digestion, and improve immunity. Besides, the nutraceutical industry also takes care of cognitive functions like improving memory, bettering concentration, boosting decision making, etc.
At present, India's nutraceutical market stands at USD 4-5 Billion with a CAGR of 22%. Along with that, year-on-year growth for various segments stands at: Cardiac Segment - 11%, anti-diabetic - 20% & vitamins - 7.6%.
Working on similar lines in the holistic development of the consumers, The Himalayan Organics was formed. Founded in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in 2018, this nutraceutical brand solves various health problems. It provides a preventive healthcare solution by offering 100% Vegetarian, Organic, Plant-based, Safe & Effective dietary supplements.
Talking about the exponential growth of this booming industry, Mr. Vaibhav Raghuwanshi, CEO, Co-Founder of The Himalayan Organics, mentions that the primary reason behind the development is the customers' results from the nutraceutical products.
"We are overwhelmed by the response; our repeat order rate is around 35% in a short period. We try to provide the best potent products most affordably to achieve our vision of helping 139 Crore people of India in increasing their lifespan ethically. I advise the same to all entrepreneurs," he shares.
As the studies indicate, Organic Herbs grown at high altitudes and under harsh climatic conditions of the Himalayas are much more potent than herbs grown at lower altitudes. The brand tries to procure its ingredients & herbs from the Himalayas to provide potent and organic products to the customers. This is the reason why they named their brand Himalayan Organics.
Sharing the biggest challenge in the market, Mr. Vaibhav feels that lack of awareness is the major challenge in India for an unhealthy life. People are unaware of the deficiencies and their severe consequences leading to chronic diseases. "However, we see this as an opportunity to educate people and advise ways to lead a healthy & longer life," he points out.
The primary focus of Himalayan Organics lies in curating the best offerings for its customers; speaking of the products, the CEO and Co-Founder shares that the customer is the king. "We listen to our customers' needs as well as their feedback. We also conduct in-depth interviews to know their problems and find the best solutions in the form of our products."
As per Vaibhav, their best-selling products are Vegan D3 K2, Vegan Multivitamins, Plant-Based Multivitamin range, Milk Thistle & Spirulina. They offer 100% vegetarian supplements and many plant-based alternatives, which is one of the reasons for the high customer acquisition & retention rate.
The Average Life Expectancy in India is 69.66 years which is way less than other countries where life expectancy is 84 years. The primary reason is lack of Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyle. "Our vision is to add these 15yrs precious years to each Indian by fulfilling the nutritional deficiencies and promoting a healthy lifestyle," Mr. Vaibhav concludes.
