Western Australia XI vs India T20 WC Warm Up Match: India beat Western Australia by 13 runs in their first warm-up match before the T20 World Cup 2022. The Indian team travelled to Perth's WACA stadium, to face Western Australia XI in the practice match that began at 11am IST on Monday.

Skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and India chose to bat first. Rohit and Rishabh Pant opened the innings for India.

At the end of the powerplay, Team India were 39/2. India lost wickets of skipper Rohit Sharma and Deepak Hooda early. Rohit score 3 runs, while Hooda made a strokeful 22 off 14 deliveries.
At the halfway mark in their innings, Team India were 73/3 with Suryakumar Yadav batting at 24 (15) and Hardik Pandya on 14 (11).
Suryakumar Yadav continued his blistering form, and top-scored for India. When he departed for 52, India were 129/5 after 17 overs.

Team India ended their innings at 158 for 6. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav's 52, Hardik Pandya scored 27 and Hooda got 22 runs. Jason Behrendoff and Matthew Kelly bagged 2 wickets each for Western Ausralia.
India vs Western Australia Practice Match - 2nd Innings
Western Australia had a shaky start to their innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh struck early and bagged 2 wickets each, leaving Western Australia at 29/4 after 6 overs.
After this Yuzvendra Chahal also came to the party and scalped two wickets. Arshdeep ended with 3 wickets, while Harshal Patel bagged one wicket.
Team India emerged victorious by 13 runs in the end. India's best bowlers were:
Arshdeep Singh 3 wickets for 6 runs.
Yuzvendra Chahal 2 wickets for 15 runs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2 wickets for 26 runs.

Team India will next play their second practice match against Western Australia XI on October 13. Rohit Sharma's men will then travel to Brisbane where they will play two warm-up matches against defending champions Australia on October 17 and last year's runners-up New Zealand on October 19.
India, the winner of the inaugural Men's T20 World Cup in 2007, are in Group 2 of the Super 12 stage at T20 World Cup 2022, alongwith Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa and two qualifying sides from the first round of the tournament.
India will play the first match of their T20 World Cup campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), followed by matches on October 27 (against the first qualifier side at SCG), October 30 (against South Africa at Perth Stadium), November 2 (against Bangladesh at Adelaide Oval) and November 6 (against second qualifier side at MCG).
