Lok Sabha elections 2024 Phase 1: Voter turnout, roundup
In the first phase of Lok Sabha polls last Friday, the Election Commission (EC) stated that over 65.5 per cent voter turnout was recorded, and the first phase was largely peaceful and the voter turnout was 'high'.
Across 102 Lok Sabha seats, over 16.63 crore people — 8.4 crore men and 8.23 crore women and 11,371 third-gender voters — were eligible to cast their votes.

Lok Sabha elections 2024 Phase 2: Date and Time
Election Commission of India's schedule states that the second phase of the seven phase Lok Sabha 2024 elections will be held on April 26 (Friday).
Voting for second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 will begin at 8.00 PM and end at 5.00 PM on Friday, April 26.
An extra hour - or 60 minutes - will be provided as a buffer time for those voters present in the line to vote at 5.00 PM on the polling date.
