Nifty, Sensex, Top Gainers, Top Losers, Apollo Hospital, Infosys, Cipla: According to the market analyst, the rally in the final hour can be attributed to a quick covering move as call writers were trapped.
Indian stock markets ended the November series with a bang as frontline indices created new records on Thursday. S&P BSE Sensex and Bank Nifty ended at lifetime highs while NSE NIfty50 managed a lifetime high closing at 18,484.10.
Sensex, Nifty, Nifty Bank: Gaining for the third straight session today, both Sensex and Nifty closed at the day’s high level of 62,272.68 and 18,484.1, respectively, each gaining over 1 per cent.

The Nifty index opened with an uptick, but it couldn’t hold the gains for long and oscillated in a range thereafter. It finally settled at 18,267.25.
Continuing its previous day's rally, the 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 91.62 points to settle at 61,510.58 and the Nifty gained 23.05 points to end at 18,267.25.
Bank Nifty was the star performer for today as the banking index hit a lifetime high of 42860 on the intraday basis before closing with a 220-point lead at 42,680.90. Bank Nifty moved in a 300-point range
