Xiaomi Redmi Go priced at just Rs 4,499 launched in India, to go on sale on March 22
Xiaomi on Tuesday launched its budget smartphone - Redmi Go in India with a highly aggressive price tag. The entry-level smartphone has been priced at just Rs 4,499 and was unveiled by Xiaomi India's Chief Marketing Officer Anuj Sharma in the presence of Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain at a launch event in New Delhi. Apart from this, the company also announced its renewed commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative with its seventh manufacturing plant in India, in partnership with Flex Ltd. It also announced its own UPI payment solution app - Mi Pay for Xiaomi MIUI users in India enabling them to access digital payment solutions.

Redmi Go has been launched in two variants: Blue and Black colour variants. Redmi Go price in India starts at Rs 4,499 and the sale will start at 12 Noon on March 22 across Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores. Xiaomi has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer cashback to its customers. Under this partnership, users will get Rs 2,200 cashback with 100GB data free with Jio.

Redmi Go comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor in tandem with 1GB of RAM powers the smartphone with Android Oreo (Go edition) offering a fluid experience to everyone. It has 8MP rear camera which can capture full-HD videos. There is also a 5MP selfie shooter on the front. Redmi Go comes with a 5-inch (12.7cm) HD touchscreen display (1280 x 720p) which recreates bright and vivid colours.

It has 1GB RAM and 8GB on-board storage. Redmi Go offers support for 4G VoLTE with dual SIM support and a dedicated microSD card that can work with up to 128GB cards. The smartphone has been powered by a 3000mAh battery.
