Xiaomi Redmi 5 priced at Rs 7,999 launched; check Mi.com, Amazon for discount, big Reliance Jio offer

Xiaomi Redmi 5 priced at a minimum of Rs 7,999 was  launched in India today. It was made exclusively available on Amazon India and Mi.com. The smartphone was launched at an event held at 3 pm today. The smartphone will also be available in MI Home stores from March 20, 2018. Later, it will also be made available at offline retail partners of the company. This is the third smartphone launch of the year 2018 in the Indian market by the Chinese smartphone maker. Notably, for those who did not know, Redmi 5 was launched along with Redmi 5 plus in China in December 2017. To an extent, Redmi 5 is a successor of Xiaomi's Redmi 4, which was launched in India in May 2017. Starting price of Redmi 4 was Rs 6.999.
