The Republic Day parade in the national capital this year prominently featured the recent consecration of Lord Ram Lalla's idol at the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The tableau not only highlighted the religious and historical significance of Ayodhya but also showcased the state's strides in development and cultural heritage.

Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya

Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, witnessed the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024. The front portion of the tableau vividly represents this event, capturing the essence of the ceremony and showcasing the childhood image of Lord Ram.

Operational high-speed Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS)

In addition to the religious significance, the tableau features Uttar Pradesh's progress through the depiction of the country's first operational high-speed regional rapid transit system (RRTS). Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the RRTS symbolises the state's commitment to modern infrastructure.

Ayodhya as "Viksit Bharat" with "Samriddh Virasat"

Officials emphasise that the tableau is not just a celebration of religious events but also symbolizes Ayodhya as a city representing a "Viksit Bharat" with a rich and prosperous heritage, known as "Samriddh Virasat."

Cultural heritage and path to progress

The trailer portion of the tableau reflects Uttar Pradesh's cultural heritage and its path to progress. Two sadhus with a "kalash" symbolise the upcoming Magh Mela in Prayagraj and the Mahakumbh in 2025, portraying the cultural and spiritual vibrancy of the state.

Deepotsav and state's development initiatives

The tableau highlights the state's commitment to development, showcasing the 'Deepotsav' festival initiated by the government to commemorate Lord Shri Ram's arrival in Ayodhya. An LED screen displays the dynamic image of the Jewar Airport construction, the world's fourth-largest international airport, and the state's extensive expressway network.

'Make in India' initiative and defense significance

Uttar Pradesh's commitment to the Make in India initiative is depicted through the representation of the BrahMos missile, symbolizing the state's contribution to national defense. The tableau also showcases the significance of the RRTS service in advancing transportation.

Cultural heritage through traditional dances

Accompanying the tableau, a group of women artists performed traditional dances, including 'Charkula' and 'Wadhwa,' illustrating the cultural richness inspired by the "leelas" of Lord Krishna in the Braj region.
