A house for Sonakshi Sinha? Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi gives actress property lesson
Singhvi suggested, ''Look for a residential house for residing purposes. Invest in housing property, only if you want to live in it. As far as buying a property for investment is concerned, then do not consider a house as an investment right now. However, if property investment is a must, then invest in a commercial property.''
Everyone know Bollywood diva and famous actress Sonakshi Sinha. She is an accomplished actress and has performed alongside Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth and many other top actors. Her roles ahve been versatile and she has done them all with ease. However, when it comes to money and investment, Sonakshi turned to market guru Zee Business Managing editor Anil Singhvi.
Turns out Sonakshi wanted to buy a house for herself and she asked Singhvi for a solution, 'Being an actor, I would love to have a house of my own. So, what is the best way to invest in property? Where else should I invest?"
Singhvi suggested, ''Look for a residential house for residing purposes. Invest in housing property, only if you want to live in it. As far as buying a property for investment is concerned, then do not consider a house as an investment right now. However, if property investment is a must, then invest in a commercial property.''
What kind of commercial property to invest in?
According to this advice, an investor should invest only in a commercial property as of now. One important thing to ensure sure is that the commercial property is already rented. This should give you around 6-8 per cent returns, making it an ideal property investment.
Singhvi added, ''Even if you have made up your mind to buy a property, it is sensible to buy a commercial property, as residential property is not a good for investment under present market conditions.''
Why not invest in residential property?
Singhvi explained, ''If you buy a house, bungalow or flat for investment and then rent it, then the rental income is only 2-3% of the investment made in the property. While investing the same money in any government fund, you can get a return of 8 per cent easily.''
Also, there are less or no chances to have an increase in prices of property in coming 5 to 6 years. Singhvi told Sonakshi that she must invest in the financial instruments like Mutual Funds with the help of a good broker.

Where to buy new house?
Since Sonakshi has made up her mind and wants to buy a new home, then a suitable place in Mumbai would be Juhu and Bandra Kurla Complex - from here she can reduce her travelling time considerably.
