According to media reports, the Central government employees, who are still waiting for a hike in the minimum pay beyond the 7th CPC recommendations, may get some good news ahead of the festive occasion of Dussehra.
Media reports claim that Modi 2.0 is expected to consider the demand of Central Government employees regarding the hike in minimum salary.
Noteworhty, even Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman knows very well about the long-standing demand of millions of employees of Central government. A media report citing a source has said that Nirmala Sitharaman may convene a meet with senior level official, and may take a decision in this regard accordingly.
Many Central Government employees are demanding that government should announce a hike in their present basic pay.
As of now, Central Government employees are getting a minimum pay of Rs 18,000 per month. However, they have put forward a demand of raising the minimum salary to Rs 26,000 per month, say media reports.
