Reliance Jio doubles 4G; offers 84 GB data for Rs 399
Reliance Jio has revised its 4G data plans for both prepaid and postpaid customers and discounted the tariff plans by half to include more data and longer plan validity. Zeebiz explains the new plans.
As Reliance Jio's Summer Surprise Offer comes to a close, the telecom major from the house of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has launched another offer whereby it has doubled the duration of its monthly plans and data offered.
“Voice is truly free – no charge towards voice or the data used to make 4G voice calls,” the company said.
“Prepaid tariffs are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Applicable taxes will be extra for all Postpaid tariffs plans,” the company’s website said.
Prepaid Plans
Jio’s prepaid plans still begin from Rs 19 and go up to Rs 9999, ranging from validity of one day to 390 days, under its new revised 4G data plans.
The earlier Rs 309 plan which was valid for 28 days, now has a validity of 56 days and will offer customers 1GB data per day.
Its Rs 349 plan which is also valid for 56 days will offer 10+10GB data at 4G speed while the Rs 399 plan will offer 84GB data at 4G speed with a Fair Usage Policy of 1GB per day for 84 days, the company’s website said.
Plans costing above Rs 399 like Rs 509, Rs 999, Rs 1999, Rs 4999 and Rs 9999 under prepaid scheme have had a revision of plan validity as well.
Rs 509 plan: This plan is now valid for 56 days instead of the earlier 28 days and will offer 112 GB data instead of 56GB earlier.
Rs 4999 plan: For this plan customers will get 380GB data instead of 350GB offered earlier for a period of 210 days.
Rs 9999 plan: Customers will get 780GB data for a period of 390 days under this plan.
Postpaid Plans
Rs 309 plan: The company is offering 60GB data at 4G speed for a period of two months under this plan.
Rs 349 plan: Jio customers can avail of 10+10GB data of 4G speed under this plan which is also available for two months.
The company has also kept its Prime membership subscription open to those who have not yet purchased its membership.
“All customers will have the option to opt for Jio Prime membership upon subscription to any available Prepaid or Postpaid plan and payment of Rs. 99,” Jio said.
