Air India has announced an increase in frequency on the frequency of flights on New Delhi-Tel Aviv routes. The national carrier has reportedly added a fourth flight which will starting flying from July 14
Air India has announced an increase in frequency on the frequency of flights on New Delhi-Tel Aviv routes. The national carrier has reportedly added a fourth flight which will starting flying from July 14. Air India flights will now fly on Saturday in addition to Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday every week, as its initial flight operations get a good response from passengers. Air India flies 256-seater Boeing 787 Dreamliner in the route. The airline had begun its direct flight operations from New Delhi to Tel Aviv on March 22, 2018.
"We are pleased with Air India’s move to increase weekly flight frequency in light of the significant rise in tourist arrivals from India," Hassan Madah, Director, Israel Ministry of Tourism - India & Philippines was quoted as saying. The outbound numbers to Israel have grown exponentially in the last few years. Madah said this will help meet the demand from India, Business World reported.
India is one of the best-performing markets in Asia with a 31 percent growth last year over 2016, it said. Oneway flight takes 7 hours and 10 minutes. Air India is at present the fastest non-stop flight between India and Israel. In addition to Air India, Israeli airline Arkia has also reportedly expressed interest to begin operations between Israel and India soon. Israel has reduced its visa fee for Indian citizens to encourage Indian travellers to visit the country.
