Jeep Compass launched for Rs 14.95 lakh; we explain all 10 variants with pricing
The Jeep Compass comes in three trims but have 10 variants priced between Rs 14.95 lakh to Rs 20.65 lakh.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) launched the much awaited Jeep Compass in India on Monday priced between Rs 14.95 lakh to Rs 20.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Fiat which opened bookings for the Jeep Compass from June 20 for Rs 50,000 said that it has received over 5,000 confirmed bookings and 3,800 enquires.
Kevin Flynn – President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “Due to the overwhelming public response to the Jeep Compass, coupled with a significant number of pre-bookings and enquiries we decided to advance the price announcement so that potential customers can finalize their purchase decisions. We will start retails on August 6, 2017. Analysing our pre-bookings data it has made sense for us to prioritise the deliveries of diesel manual transmission variants. We will deliver petrol automatic transmission variants closer to Diwali.”
The Jeep Compass comes in three premium trim, ie the Sport, Longitude and Limited (top of the line) and in a combination of 10 variants.
Jeep Compass Sport:
This is the base model of the Jeep Compass and is available in both petrol and diesel engines. The Jeep Compass Sport is priced at Rs 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the petrol engine and Rs 15.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It however only comes a only a six-speed manual transmission.
The Jeep Compass comes with two engine options – a 2.0-litre MultiJet Turbo Diesel engine which dishes out 173 PS and torque of 350 Nm and a 1.4 Multi-Air Turbo Petrol engine with gives out power of 162 PS and torque of 250 Nm.
Besides this the Jeep Compass Sport is available in two-wheel drive (4x2) only.
It also has a 5.0 inch U-Connect infotainment system. In terms of safety it comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and traction control.
The Jeep Compass Sport variant comes with 16-inch steel wheels, halogen headlamps, Power adjust and folding wing mirrors, four-wheel disc brakes and an electric parking brake.
Jeep Compass Longitude:
The Longitude variant is the mid-priced Jeep Compass variant and comes in two sub-variants, ie Longitude and Longitude (O). The Jeep Compass Longitude is priced at Rs 16.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Jeep Compass Longitude (O) has a diesel engine and is priced at Rs 17.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Like the Sport, the Jeep Compass Longitude variant is available in two-wheel drive only.
The Longitude comes with front cornering fog lamps, rear fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and go, push button start, rear parking sensors and a dual-tone interior. The Jeep Compass Longitude comes with the diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission.
The Longitude (O) has additional features such as a 7.0 inch infotainment system from U-Connect, Dual zone climate control, roof rails, projector headlamps and a rear parcel tray.
Jeep Compass Limited:
The Jeep Compass Limited has five sub-variants and is the highest priced variant. The Jeep Compass Limited (O) petrol engine is priced at Rs 19.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Jeep Compass Limited diesel is priced at Rs 18.05 lakh, Jeep Compass Limited (O) diesel priced at Rs 18.75 lakh, Jeep Compass Limited 4x4 at Rs 19.95 lakh and Jeep Compass Limited (O) 4x4 priced at Rs 20.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The petrol variant is even available with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Besides this, it gets LED tail-lamps, Rear camera, Grey leather upholstery and steering, door still guards, SelecTerrain 4WD system, Dual front, side and curtain airbags.
